Luanda — A delegation of Brasilian cooperativists is expected in the second fortnight of this month in Angola for an exchange of experience with representatives of local cooperative groups. The information was released to Angop Tuesday in Luanda by the chairman of the National Association of Peasants-Confederation of Agro-Farming Cooperatives (Unaca-Confederação), Paulo Uime.
He said on the occasion he intends to bring together all areas of the country's areas of cooperativism which, according to him, requires the experience of Brazil.
According to him, the visit of the Brazilian cooperativists to Angola will also serve for training local peasants and domestic producers, with a view to equipping them with the skill to help create and develop housing, fishery, farming, credit and consumer cooperatives.
Paulo Uime stated as well that during the course the participants will learn about cooperatives: education and professional upgrading, agro-farming, social security, housing and health.
The visit of the Brazilian cooperativists is also intended to consolidate existing bilateral relations, under the Term of Technical Cooperation signed between Unaca-Confederação and the Brazilian Cooperatives Organisation (OCB) on April 24 last year, in Brazil.
The delegation that will be headed by the OCB chairman, Marcio Lopes de Freitas, will include producers from the Cooperative Organisation of the Federal District (OCDF) and from the Brazilian National Learning Service.
