Nigeria: Phillips Consulting Partners Bankers Academy On E-Learning

Edcomm Group Banker's Academy, the world's leading provider of education to the financial services industry, has partnered with Phillips Consulting, to provide e-learning to Nigerian banking sector, and assist the sector to meet customers' needs.

Chief Executive Officer, Phillips Consulting, Mr Foluso Phililps, while informing the press of the partnership, said the partnership is making its debut at the financial sector, because of its huge advantage to the sector and its effectiveness.

Phillips promised that the partnership intends to move into other sectors, especially in the area of managing people and businesses. He said some of the existing genric courses could be offered in any comapny, and is in fact, looking at computer security as a course to be offered by participants.

Taking reporters through activities of the Academy, Managing Director, Edcomm Group Bankers, Mrs Marilyn McGowan, said the Academy, established 21 years ago, by Dr Linda Eagle and Clifford Brody, with 139 employees and presence in over 100 countries, is focusing on e-learning in the banking industry, a products its patrons in Nigeria will find extremely valuable.

She said a major area of the Elder Financial Abuse by either caregivers or those they trust, and the need to stem the tide, to be able to assist elderly customers and gain their confidence, especially with the advent of e-banking, including but not limited to the Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) card.
