Abuja — Many readers call me to ask why I even bother to continue to write about the nation's ills of poor leadership and lost opportunities. Some even go as far as asking me to go find something better to do with myself and with my time! To such readers, I say: we shall not despair.

As the old saying goes, nothing good comes easy. In fact, one of the major problems of our generation is a desire for quick fixes and fast solutions. Governance, by its nature, requires serious self-application over time before anything planned can reach fruition and produce the desired outcomes.
