In keeping with one of the mandates of government's ongoing economic reforms; and the need for market leaders and operators to brace up themselves with the acquisition of requisite education, knowledge and techniques to enable them operate successfully in relation to their sizes, structure and capital base, Programos Software Limited has said it will provide the platform for all stakeholders to adequately equip themselves with what it takes to not only play big, but for a sustainable endurance in a capitalised era as mandated by Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Addressing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) reporters at Programos e-learning centre at Anthony Village, Lagos recently, the president/chairman, Programos Software Limited, Mr. Amos Emmanuel, said having serviced over a 100 stockbroking firms in the capital market for over a decade, the company was in the best position to address capital market issues and problems at the workshop. He announced that Programos is the current winner of the "Titans of Tech Award 2008" award.

He said the target audience of the free workshop scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Chinese Golden Gate Restaurant, Ikoyi-Lagos include: chief executive officers, dealers, registras, regulators and stakeholders.

Emmanuel further said after the envisaged workshop, the company will follow it up with a staff retreat programme at a date to be announced later.

He said Programos has been in the forefront to shape the future of capital market operation in addition to playing a focal role in ICT education in the country.

Responding to a question, the Programos boss said there is need for the government to protect companies' intellectual properties from the activities of pirates even as he affirmed that Programos is the developer of integra.webstone software, seen as a tool for African business globalisation.
