Luanda — The National Institute of Fight Against Aids (INLS) and other public institutions are to sign this Wednesday here an accord in the ambit of the Global Fund, ANGOP has learnt.
An INLS press note delivered to ANGOP states that from this just over USD 10.9 million will be gradually transferred, which will be managed by the institution in the 2008-2011 period.
The amount is to be used in partnership activities in the ambit of prevention against HIV and Aids with the Ministries of education, public administration and social security, social reintegration,defence, national institute of public health and the national institute of blood.
During the two-year first stage of the Global Fund's project in Angola, INLS managed about 4 million US dollars, whereas for the second one are expected about USD 11 million.
The goal is to intensify the system of epidemiologic vigilance of HIV/Aids, to spread the access to counselling services and voluntary testing, increase HIV prevention among vulnerable groups, such as young people, women lorry drivers, prostitutes, prisoners, among others.
