Luanda — The chiefs of staff of the armies in the countries of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) are to meet on Wednesday here to debate matters relating to defence and security in the region.
To participate in the two-day meeting are already in Luanda the top military officials of the fourteen member states of the region.
The community is made up by Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Tanzania, Zambia, Swaziland, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mauritius, Madagascar and Malawi.
Previous to this meeting, a gathering of the sub-committee of heads of operations of SADC armies is taking place since Monday.
