Police officers with the Southern African Regional Police Chief Council Organisation (SARPCCO) have been arriving in Luanda to debate human trafficking and trans-border crimes, among other issues, on May 09-11, ANGOP has learnt.

SARPCCO's chairperson, the Zambian Ephraim Mateyo said the main goal of the meeting is to synchronize police actions within the community.

"We are here to see how SADC's police can be in harmony through the exchange of information, since we have the difficult task of keeping the order", he said.

The delegations of Zimbabwe, Botswana and Tanzania are already in Luanda.

The organisation was created on 05 August 1995 by Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Mauritius, Namibia, Lesotho, Malawi, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
