CELTEL has announced a review of its rates. It has also introduced a new rate plan for pre-paid customers, giving them more choice and flexibility in selecting what suits their needs.
Martin Sebuliba, the marketing manager corporate and small-medium enterprises, said the new pre-paid tariffs were Chacha and Mambo.
"On Chacha, per second billing will be at sh7 during peak period (8am - 5pm) and sh5 during the off-peak period (9pm -12am & 5am - 8am) only for calls within the Celtel network. Mambo is a competitively priced per minute rate charged at sh300 for calls within the Celtel network and sh340 to other networks all day and night," he said.
Sebuliba said the new rates make calls affordable for Celtel pre-paid customers.
"As we introduce the Chacha and Mambo rates, we are giving our customers the opportunity to make calls at these new rates as well as giving them the opportunity to choose rates that suit their needs and lifestyle," he said.
