A teacher at the Ansarul Islamic secondary school has been arrested for allegedly impregnating 17-year old Esther Ngaujah of Yengema Secondary School, Nimikoro chiefdom in the Kono district.

Abdul Koroma who had taught in the school for quite a while was said to have been going out with the girl until he was transferred to Ansarul a month ago.

But Koroma said he had opted out of the relationship after he realized that the girl was having love affairs with her colleagues.

Koroma claimed he has no knowledge of the girl's pregnancy.

The pale looking Ngaujah told Concord Times that she has been in love with Koroma and has been spending nights with him for about three months. She said she has no regret to say that she was impregnated by her teacher, Koroma.

The matter was reported to the family support unit of the Motema police station. Koroma has been charged to court and is due to make his first appearance today.
