Benguela

The coach of South Africa's women team of football, Anna Monate, Wednesday in Benguela, expressed the wish to see her team play Angolan squad in the final of the Confederation of Southern Africa Football Association (Cosafa) cup on April 10 in Malanje province.

Speaking to Angop, the coach justified her preference saying the two teams showed the best performance in their respective groups and it would be fair to meet in the finals.

The South Africans were first in the group B with nine points, following three matches.

In order to make to the finals, South Africa beat Zambia by 7-3, whilst Angola, first in group A, also with nine points, defeated Namibia by 3-0 in the last round match of the group.

The matches for the semi-finals of the Cosafa cup for women going on in two Angolan cities, will take place Thursday with Angola playing Zimbabwe and South Africa facing Namibia, in northern Malanje province.
