Luanda — The police chiefs of Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) are analysing as from Wednesday in Luanda the memorandum of understanding on the creation of the region's Stand-By Brigade.
The extraordinary meeting going until May 11 will also deal with other matters concerning the regional organisation.
The members of the Southern Africa Regional Police Chiefs Council Organisation (SARPCCO) will also analyse the nominations for the two vacant positions of executive delegate of Interpol and the organisation of the 20th Interpol Africa Conference.
The third meeting of the SADC police chiefs, scheduled to start on May 9, will evaluate the degree of accomplishment of the decisions from the previous session, the harmonisation of the regional organisation's road maps and the equity of gender in the police forces of the region.
The session will as well assess the adhesion and or ratification of protocols on security and public order and the programme of training for support to peace.
