7 May 2008

Luanda — The ambassador of Angola to Cote d'Ivoire Gilberto Buta Lutucuta and the West African nation's Parliament speaker, Mamadou Koulibaly, expressed satisfaction with the current state of friendship relations between the two countries.

During an audience held on Wednesday, at the National Assembly, in Abidjan, that served to present the new Angolan ambassador, Buta Lutucuta praised Mamadou Koulibaly for his position, including the work that he carries out within his party, the Ivorian People Front (FPI).

On the occasion, the Angolan diplomat expressed his solidarity with the Ivorian people as well as his readiness to contribute in this difficult phase of the peace process there, reminding that the talks that put an end to the war in Angola started in that West African state.

"Therefore, it is our duty to follow up and help the Ivorian people to reach an everlasting peace, so that they can count on the solidarity and experience of Angola in various sectors", he stressed.
