The FDC party on Tuesday donated Shs2.3m towards the reconstruction of the burnt dormitory at Budo Junior School.

The money was delivered by FDC President, Dr Kizza Besigye who led a delegation of top party leaders to the school to assess the situation after a dormitory fire killed 20 pupils last month.

"We continue to express sympathy with the school over the tragedy that befell it and the parents, teachers and the community," Dr Besigye said.

He said the party would remain part of the process of rebuilding the school. The school is also arranging for counselling services for the pupils.
