Nigeria: Task Systems Emerges HP's Preferred Partner

Task Systems Limited, Nigeria's foremost solutions company has emerged the most celebrated HP Preferred Partner in Africa , having won a record six Awards at the HP Awards night organized in Lagos last week.
A statement made available to THISDAY disclosed that three of the awards were won in the sales revenue category , while the other three were won in certification achievements.
Dave Ibelegbu, MD Task, collected the prizes for achieving the Highest Revenue in Sales in West Africa FY07, Highest Revenue for Personal Systems Group (PSG) for West Africa in FY07, Highest Revenue Achievement year-on-year for 4 years back-to-back. Task also received Certification awards in the following areas - Service Sales Specialist, Workstation Specialist and Office Printing Solution (OPS) Specialist.
While presenting the awards the SPO Manager Nigeria and English West Africa, Mr. Victor Diali, praised Task Systems Limited for her consistent focus which has led to a domination of the IT solutions market in Africa. Mr. Diali said that he is proud of the fact that Task Systems continues to deliver superior HP solutions to the satisfaction of an increasingly aware customers. He said that the example of Task can only be understood against the background of an enterprising workforce under an innovative management. He noted that Task continues to compete favorably in spite of her pioneer status in a very keen market.
Speaking to newsmen at the venue of the Awards nite, the Task System's M.D, Mr. Dave Ibelegbu thanked HP for organisng the awards in Nigeria. Mr. Ibelegbu said that the awards would serve as an incentive to present more creative solutions at the disposal of the customers. He said that the successes of Task mirrors the vision of the founding fathers who set to build a Technology-driven TOTAL IT solution company that delivers world-class value-added services to customers, through a highly motivated and professional team.
Mr. Ibelegbu informed the newsmen that Task Systems Limited, in the person of his humble self, recently represented the West African sub region in an exclusive EMEA HP Preferred Partner conference in San Francisco, USA. He said that the cream of the global IT industry was in attendance at the conference including personalities like HP CEO, Mark Hurd and the Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Mr. Ibelegbu revealed that Task Systems would soon be named a Gold Partner in Nigeria and a Frontline Partner for both Microsoft and HP in a new solution partnership initiative between Microsoft and HP.

The Task Managing Director said that this trend would be positive for Nigeria's IT development as strong local solutions providers like Task would be on the ground to provide mission critical solutions which would be cost effective with the full support of the giant OEMs. Mr. Ibelegbu opined that in the nearest future the IT industry in Nigeria would be a major employer of labor as well as enhance the use of local content in the economy.
Over the years, Task Systems Limited have excelled and made remarkable impact in the deployment and integration of Personal Computers, Servers, High Power UPSs, Printers, and IT equipment Maintenance services to her valued customers in most sectors of the economy, especially in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Finance, Telecommunications, and Manufacturing sectors.
