The investigations into the fire that killed 20 girls at Budo Junior School on April 14 are complicated, the Police said yesterday.
"Murder cases, particularly the Budo incident, are complicated. It cannot be investigated in just a week. The public should give us time," the Police spokesperson, Judith Nabakooba, pleaded.
Despite a sh5m bounty the Police announced and hotlines on which the public could offer information, no person has contacted the investigators, Nabakooba told journalists at the Police headquarters in Kampala.

"People are making all sorts of allegations in connection with the incident. However, no one is willing to provide that information to the Police."
Reckless statements about the inferno could easily "interfere" with the investigations, she added.
Her comment came a day after the FDC leader, Kizza Besigye, called for an independent inquiry into the cause of the fire.
