Management of Kaduna Polytechnic has stressed its unrelenting commitment in boosting man power and training aimed at increasing capacity of academic and non-academic staff of the institution.

The polytechnic rector, Dr.Danjuma I.Isah who was represented by the director, college of science and technology, Mr. Moses Obafumi, stated this while declaring open, the 1st workshop for heads of departments, exams officers, registration officers, and time table coordinators, organised by the institution's college of Administrative Studies and Social Sciences (CASSS).

According to the rector, "We gathered here today to find ways of improving academic performance.

The workshop is aimed at capacity building and enhanced productivity.

The objectives of the workshop are in conformity with the vision of my administration to boost efficiency through continuous dialogue".

He also urged the resource persons to provide the required guide needed that could propel fruitful discourse from the participants, noting that there are a lot to derive from the workshop against the background of various challenges facing the institution, encouraging them to work hard and at the end link theory and practice. He therefore commended the college for such a giant stride in the consolidation of much that have been achieved and aspires for more success.

In her welcome address, the director,college of administrative studies and social sciences, Mrs.Asma'u Maikudi stressed that the workshop is aimed at building capacity in various strata maintaining that the focus will be in exploring complex topics as accreditation requirement and strategies, academic staff promotion requirement, examination rules and how to handle examination malpractice cases and computation of examination results in Kaduna Polytechnic.
