Three Rwandans have been named on various Cecafa committees, the regional football body secretariat has confirmed.

The trio include; Ferwafa vice president Véduste Kayiranga in charge of Kagame Cup, Louise Nyirankwaya to the Youth and Women committee and Dr. Charles Mukimana on the Medical Committee.

However, Ferwafa publicist, Jean Butoyi formerly on the Cecafa media committee, has been left in the cold.

Fufa vice chairman technical committee chairman Asuman Lubowa is to serve on the Senior Challenge Cup organizing committee.

Cecafa secretary general, Nicholas Musonye confirmed that all those appointed serve for two years. The Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations is the oldest regional body in Africa.

In a related development, Musonye has confirmed that the draws for this year's Cecafa/Kagame club championship set for July 12-26 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania has been shifted to next week with a date yet to be named.

"We have shifted the event because the hosting country is holding a series of meeting in regards to the hosting the two-week long tournament."

"We shall inform all the responsible bodies of the exact date once the meetings climax this week," Musonye said on phone from Nairobi, Kenya on Tuesday.
