The Kids League U-16 teams from Gulu and Kumi qualified for the finals of the TKL European Union tournament in a competition held at Lango Sports Club in Lira on Monday.

Gulu beat Kumi 11-10 in a penalty shoot-out.

The tournament, sponsored by the European Union and supported by Stanbic Bank, attracted six teams from Lira, Gulu, Apac, Nakapiripirit and Moroto. It followed a cultural dialogue workshop at Lira Hotel, which was attended by cultural leaders from all over Uganda.
