The Standard Chartered Bank launched a new service centre for corporate clients in Tanzania.

The bank's regional head of Wholesale Bank Client Service, Mr Firtz Oketch, told journalists in Dar es Salaam yesterday that the bank was geared towards enhancing service for personal and corporate clientele.

"Standard Chartered Bank places a lot emphasis on world-class services to customers and already has vibrant centres to cater for individual customers," he said.

The new customer service centre, which is located at the bank's head office in Dar es Salaam, will be handling corporate clients' enquiries, resolving them and providing information.

The bank's head of Origination and Client Coverage Department, Mr Angelo Antony, said enquiries would be handled in the shortest time possible.

"This service is designed to be a one-stop shop for all corporate client enquiries," he said.

The aim is to improve customer services.
