Namibia: Get Tested Today!

Windhoek — THE Ministry of Health and Social Services is holding a nationwide HIV-testing campaign from today until Saturday to encourage people to make use of national testing and counselling services.

The Director of Health in Oshana, Dr Naftali Hamata, says the Ministry is especially targeting the Oshana, Caprivi, Khomas, Erongo and Karas regions.

The free testing and counselling will be offered at State hospitals and clinics, but people can also go to the New Start centres.

Smaller facilities in the North will be open from 08h00 to 17h00, but the testing facility at the Oshakati Hospital's X-ray department will stay open until 20h00.

In Windhoek, mobile testing and counselling centres will be stationed at the Polytechnic and Unam campuses, the UN Plaza, Okahandja Park and Greenwell Matongo in Katutura.

Today and tomorrow, the centres will be open from 08h00 to 20h00 and on Saturday from 08h00 to 17h00.
