Ghana maintains its position as Africa's best football nation as the Black Stars for the fourth month running remain at the top of the continent's ranking table.

The May rankings released yesterday by football governing body, FIFA, has Ghana clinging onto the 14th position held in April on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking after picking up some four points from the previous month.

According to FIFA, All six confederations also have the same leading team as last month, with Argentina (1st), Italy (3rd), Ghana (14th), Mexico (17th), Japan (37th) and New Zealand (78th) all continuing to hold that particular honour.
