May 2 was a day of bloody scene in the Logan Town community when a 48- year old woman identified as Tenneh Morlu allegedly stabbed her 15- year old in-law, Martina Walker more than five times.
Martina Walker, 15, was allegedly attacked by the sister of her mother's fiancée, Tenneh Morlu last Friday, May 2, 2008 during a fist fight.
According to the uncle of the victim, Bill Diggs, Martina's mother and Tenneh Morlu had been at loggerhead for a long time.
Bill said on that fateful day, Tenneh decided to launch her war of terror against Deborah and her daughter, Martina.
Bill narrated that Deborah being in love and cherished by Tenneh's brother, Joseph, could not afford to end her sweet relationship with Joseph because of a naughty sister.
"The entire scenario all started when Deborah asked her daughter to carry some clothes to Joseph's place and it was at that point the daughter of Tenneh, Teta Dwalu, 24, launched the attack on Martina," Bill narrated.
He explained that while Teta and Martina were furtively locked in arms, Deborah came out of the house to separate the two but was mistaken by Tenneh.
"Tenneh without investigating the matter jumped on Deborah and she later over came Deborah and hit her with a object on the back," he added.
Bill explained that in the process Tenneh ran into the house and brought out a knife which she used to stab the little girl with.
He said the entire scenario occurred about 8 p.m. on Friday, and when the community members arrived at the scene, the bloody battle had already ceased, as Tenneh was arrested by the police and turned over to the New Kru Town Court.
He further alleged that while Tenneh was in the custody of the court, she boastfully stated that she did not regret the incident.
"We as family members of little Martina want justice into this matter and that the little girl must be given the opportunity to seek advanced medical treatment," Bill added.
Efforts to get to Tenneh or her family members did not materialize as none of her relatives were willing to speak to the press.
However sources close to Tenneh confirmed that she is in the custody of the court.
