IF coach Laszlo Csaba's Cranes do not go past Taifa Stars of Tanzania in the Africa Nations Championship qualifier next week, FUFA will review his contract.
"His (Csaba) contract is clear about performance and if it is consistently poor, we shall be forced to review it. Let's first give him chance. He has the Tanzania game to prove himself," FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa said on Wednesday. Mulindwa was speaking on a radio sports talk show.
Asked by a caller why the Cranes have persistently drawn or lost away games despite signing the Hungarian, who assumed the job in 2006, the FUFA boss said they are constantly appraising the coach.
FUFA and Csaba have in the past two weeks held several closed meetings to discuss national teams' performances and disagreements between themselves.
Csaba, 44, has managed draws to Lesotho and Niger and a loss to Nigeria in the last CAN qualifiers away.
His biggest achievement was a win against Nigeria in the failed 2008 Ghana bid.
But his coaching tactics have since then drawn increased criticism with a 2-0 defeat to Tanzania in CHAN round one, first leg in Mwanza last week.
The Cranes launch their World Cup campaign against Niger in Kampala on May 31.
Last year, a Swiss national Raoul Savoy sought Csaba's job but the federation insisted Csaba was the man for the top job.

The coach has recently been unhappy with the federation for failing to avail players for national duty because of the busy league fixtures.
Next week's Super League fixtures have been postponed to give the coach more time before the return leg against Tanzania.
In response Mulindwa said that the coach spends a lot of time grumbling on trivial issues instead of concentrating on his squads.
