Dreading to end up in a conman's snare, Chris Okello received the news that he was the lucky winner of the Shs10m weekly jackpot in the MTN Kwata Cash promo, with more scepticism than elation. He says that it was on April 23 and he had no idea that he would be saying hello to a lady that was going to turn him into an instant millionaire.

"It was a lady called Suzan who called me up informing me that I was the lucky winner of Shs10 million," Okello said. "I couldn't believe it because there're so many conmen these days although I couldn't help thinking about it," he added.

However, Okello's doubts didn't last long as he was advised to check in the newspapers, which he did and found his number on the list of winners.

For a person who confessed never to have won anything in spite of taking part in numerous promotions, Okello required extra luck to win this time round.

"I sent Kwata Cash messages whenever I loaded airtime. I was planning to get a loan from a bank for my business but that is no more now," said the excited 27-year-old.

He said he plans to use his prize money to start a poultry farm. "I am going to open up two farms, one in Gulu and another in Jinja," he said.
