Ugandans welcomed back Hellen Lukoma and Brenda Nambi onto the big stage shortly after they had left Obsessions. The girls have come together under the name HB Toxic, with HB standing for their initials.

Brenda says she left the Obsessions to find some time for her fashion-designing career. Hellen wanted to get more time for her studies, she says.

"We were a bit relaxed because while in Obsessions they used to think for us as we just performed but now we're the architects of everything we do and we love the challenge because it has even made us more hardworking," says Hellen.

After leaving the Obsessions, the duo used to meet and chat as friends, and it was during those routine meetings that Hellen came up with an idea of going to the studio to do a duet.

And after recording their first song titled Lovely, Hellen and Brenda were signed up by artistes' managing company Talent 256 to help them return to the big stage permanently.

"We are enjoying our return to the stage, I have to admit that we were missing stage," says Brenda as Hellen adds, "Life is good now and nowadays it's all about us. It gives you a taste of working when you know you're independent and responsible for the good and bad things. And I'm excited to see what HB Toxic will be getting up to now."

Actually, the gorgeous pair plans to release an eight-track album to feature their already recorded tracks Lovely, All I Need featuring Tanzanian Rapper A-Y and Kyenninawo featuring Mega Dee.

Brenda says they wouldn't have any problems recording a joint song with Obsessions as long as HB Toxic is not labelled as Obsessions. The girls say they don't intend to add another member to their group.

"You can't predict the future but we hope that we stay together and we don't want to add another person," says Hellen. Brenda's plans to open her own boutique while Hellen says she still loves acting and she would star in a movie if such a chance came up.
