FCT Football Association has appealed to the Honorable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Dr Aliyu Umar Moddibo to help in upgrading the sporting facilities at the Area 10, Old Parade Football Pitch to meet international standards, following the promotion of the Abuja based team, FC Abuja to the Premier League.

Emmanuel Attah, FCT FA Chairman, who made the appeal on Tuesday in a press conference to mark the celebration of the Abuja-based team's promotion to Nigeria top league for the first time in the history of the capital city, said the Area 10 football stadium needs functional Borehole, plastic chairs, additional chairs to accommodate more spectators, since Abuja will be hosting other big clubs and referees dressing room to meet the standard of any of its kind in the country.

He said FCT was able to achieve what it could within the past 30 years of its existence as Nigeria's number one city within the one year of Modibbo's FCT administration.

He commended the FC Abuja players and officials for their doggedness and determination in sacrificing all their energy and resources in ensuring FCT got Premier League slot for the first time.
