Abuja — The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) have endowed two awards at the on-going Zuma Film Festival. A copy of yesterday's "ZUMA Digest" said that NAN endowed the best movie journalist award while the NTA management endowed the best camera operator.
It said the Managing Director of NAN, Mrs Oluremi Oyo, while endowing the award, called for full media participation in the reportage of activities in Nollywood.
In the same vein, the NTA Executive Director Programmes, Mr Jimmy Atte, reiterated the support of the station for the festival.
NAN reports that the festival which began on Sunday, had recorded an impressive turn out of stakeholders in the film industry.
According to the organisers, more than 800 participants registered yesterday, as the five-day event winds up on Thursday.
Renowned actors and popular Nollywood faces who graced the festival included Olu Jacobs and his wife, Joke Silva; Justus Esiri and Bob-Manuel Udokwu.
The festival will feature awards presentation on several categories in the motion picture industry. (NAN)
