There have been accusations and counter accusations between supporters of two aspirants to the Atiwa constituency seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The two aspirants are Kwasi Ankamah, Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Kwadwo Mpiani and Kwasi Amoako-Attah, the presiding member of Atiwa District Assembly.
The supporters of Amoako-Attah have accused Mr. Ankamah of alleged camping of delegates to the yet to be fixed primaries to select a parliamentary candidate for the party at the constituency.
Mr. Ankamah's supporters have however, rejected the accusation calling it a sinister motive to discredit their man.
On an Nkawkaw based radio station, Obuoba Fm programme dubbed Good Morning Ghana, the supporters accused each other for acting arbitrarily against the laid down rules of the party concerning parliamentary candidature.
One Kofi Apau, a supporter of Mr. Amoako-Attah accused Mr. Ankamah for organizing a number of polling station chairpersons to Accra to camp and convince them to vote for him. He said, such an action was against the party's regulation and called for a probe.
"By grouping the chairpersons outside the constituency amounted to camping" he insisted.

The campaign manager of Mr. Ankamah, Kwabena Koduah, however disagreed with Apau and said the group went to Accra to visit Mr. Ankamah and wished him speedy recovery after his accident recently when he visited the constituency.
He said, while in Accra they took the opportunity to visit the President and Chief of Staff for interaction and also toured the castle.
Apau insisted that he and others planned the visit and not Ankamah.
