Cameroon: Bandits Attack Presbook Manager

Four bandits attacked the Kumba Presbook branch manager, Emmanuel Ekwe Makoge, Saturday May 3.

The bandits stole valuables worth FCFA 700,000 and about FCFA 400,000 in cash.

According to Makoge, the men invaded his house at about 2 am.He said they used a large stone to break his door and forced their way in, demanding money, which he gave.

Makoge said his cousin, Richard Ediage, in the visitor's room with his girlfriend, were equally attacked and he coughed out FCFA 210,000.He added that the bandits also made away with his laptop, a DVD player and remote controls of his electronic gadgets.

The Presbook Manager said they alerted police officers but they arrived ten minutes late, when the bandits had already made away with their booty.
