Liberia: Dr. Dahn Selected To Speak At Ohio University

Ohio University of the United States of America has selected Dr. Marcus Dahn, Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Post & Telecommunication to serve as a Keynote Speaker of the Institution's International Week celebration.

Activities marking the celebration of the University's International Week get underway on May 11 and ends on the 17th instant 2008.

According to the letter of invitation sent to Dr. Dahn under the signature of Interim Director for International Student and Faculty Services, Krista McCallum Beatty, Minister Dahn's selection was based on his works, experiences and 'His Story' as a former student.

The release said that made him a wonderful choice to serve as keynote speaker.

A release from the Posts & Telecommunications Ministry quoted Madam Beatty as saying that the International Week of the Institution is an annual event that is celebrated each year. This year's team is "Your World, Your Story" focusing on the importance of international education experiences for all students.

The release said hundreds of guests are expected to attend the activities of the International Week of the Institution.

It will be held at the Baker University Center Ballroom with various activities such as 'involvement fair featuring international opportunities on campuses' as well as study abroad fair, a 'brown bag' seminar for faculty and international talent show among others.

The release also said Dr. Dahn will also meet and lecture the faculty and students at the Center for International Studies as well as the Global Learning Center both at the Ohio University.

Ohio University is the oldest higher educational institution in the Old North West Territory of the United States of America. It was established in 1804. It is a comprehensive Research Institution with five campuses with a combined student population of over 35 thousand and about 20 thousand students are on main campus in Athens.
