Nairobi — BANDARI coach Wycliffe Anyangu has told his struggling stars to turn the heat on form team and joint KPL leaders Mathare United at Mbaraki today.
Anyangu's side are stuck at the bottom of the table with seven points propped up only by winless Mahakama.
"We cannot afford to lose points anymore by not utilising chances that come our way," Anyangu said.
Rocked is the Bandari steamship that Harambee Stars assistant coach Twahir Muhidin has been drafted to anchor the technical staff in a bid to stop the rot.
Bandari, however, should brace themselves for Francis Kimanzi's team, which is not prepared to take prisoners. Besides, Mathare have not lost to a coastal side but encouragingly, they have not also won there in the past three years.
Their form, however, is awe-inspiring having four straight wins, two at home and two on the road.
While Bandari lost 1-0 at Sher, Mathare United won by a similar margin at Sony Sugar. And Kimanzi has said they would not take their feet off the gas.
"We want to maintain the momentum we have gathered and it is good the players are responding well," he said. Bandari are still without their promotion campaign hero Abdul Wahab Musa who picked up an injury in their second game of the season against Chemelil on March 9.

Chemelil Sugar, level with Mathare United on 18 points but with an inferior goal difference, are in the capital to confront KCB at the City Stadium from 4pm.
KPL's leading scorer John "Kangi" Mwangi was in ruthless form as he grabbed a hat trick against Thika United last week and hopes to unbolt the bankers' strong room today.
Champions Tusker are up against Mathare Youth at Nyayo National Stadium with memories of their 1-0 defeat to Gabriel Njoroge's boys last season still fresh as they almost lost the plot in the title chase.
In Nakuru former champions Ulinzi Stars have been stirred up by their goalkeeper-turned striker Francis Ochieng and fancy a third straight win over Agro Chemicals at the Greensteds School.
KCB earned a creditable draw at World Hope and the visit by joint leaders Chemelil should mark how far Yusuf Chippo has gone in stopping the slide. KCB have not won since their 2-1 triumph against Red Berets on April 6. Jacob Keli missed the World Hope clash with a thigh strain and could start on the bench.
