The Angolan minister of Transports, Augusto da Silva Tomás, Thursday in Luanda met with the board of directors of National Air Carrier (TAAG) part of program of visits to strategic companies of the sector, which began on the same day.

According to a press release from the Ministry of transports which Angop had got access on Friday, at the meeting the Cabinet minister presented a set of actions to be implemented, in order to place back the company among Africa's best.

According to the document, due to the character of urgency that the situation demands, the ministry of Transports, with the Secretariat of Public Business, has been assessing the companies of the field, taking into account to help the respective board of directors to clarify the current situation.

The ministry expects to define a program of action due to the gravity of the problems and the answers that are necessary to the sector and the country's economy.

Among the companies of Transports Ministry to be assessed, apart from TAAG, are Enana, commercial ports and railways.
