Angola: Governing MPLA Devises Strategy for Elections

The delegates to the Third National Conference of MPLA are meeting in plenary to discuss and approve the ruling party's strategy for next legislative election, slated for coming September and the Government plan for 2009/2013 period.

In the morning, the delegates were divided into two groups, to discuss these two documents.

The group works were guided by the deputy president and the secretary general of the party, respectively, Pitra Neto and Julião Mateus Paulo "Dino Matross".

At Futungo II Complex, where the president of MPLA, José Eduardo dos Santos, is at the moment, the works continue at closed door, and it is scheduled to end earlier this evening, with the approval of the documents.

The conference brings together 1,500 delegates and is taking place under the motto "MPLA - Working to win.
