Abidjan — Angolan ambassador to Cote D'ivoire, Gilberto Buta Lutucuta, Saturday granted an audience to a team of students from Cocody University, with whom he discussed the teaching of Portuguese language there, Angop learnt.
On the occasion, the students of the department of Portuguese language presented to the ambassador a project meant for a future exchange with Angolan higher education institutions.
The university belongs to the Cote D'ivoire non-governmental organisation "Lusophilie-Cote D'ivoire" that is seeking Angolan authorities' assistance for the participation of the country in updating courses of Portuguese language through scholarships.
The university also wants to carry out studies on Angolan culture and literature, having to this end asked for aid in terms of books and other materials that can contribute to their performance.
On the occasion, ambassador Lutucuta explained to the students the Angolan Government's path in the field of education, having highlighted that most of the country's cadres were trained during the military conflict that ravaged the country for more than 30 years.
