TWO traditional healers, who allegedly murdered a colleague in Tanzania, have been arrested. Baker Muzamilu alias Jogo and Musa Tamale alias Juma are detained at Central Police Station in Kampala in connection with Moses Ssemakula's death last month.

Police spokesperson, Judith Nabakooba, told the press on Tuesday that the trio, who left South Africa by road, had three vehicles: a canter truck, a Toyota Premio and a BMW.

The canter truck and the Toyota Premio belonged to Ssemakula, the police disclosed.

While on the way, Muzamilu and Tamale allegedly connived to kill Ssemakula so that they could take his vehicles among other items.

"The two killed Ssemakula between Dodoma and Morogoro in Tanzania. They hid the body and proceeded to Uganda via Mutukula," Nabakooba said. The body has not yet been recovered.

The Police who had been alerted received assistance from a clearing agent in Mutukula who enabled them trace Musa and Tamale.

"During interrogation," Nabakooba said, "the duo confessed to murdering Ssemakula."

She said investigations into the matter had been completed and the file sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
