Eritrea and Egypt agreed to enhance cooperation in the education sector, especially in higher education and scientific research.

The Minister of Education, Mr. Semere Russom, currently on a working visit to Egypt held talks with the Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Hani Hilal, during which both officials reached understanding that bilateral cooperation would play a significant role in promoting the development of education.

Mr. Hani Hilal expressed Egypt's readiness to cooperate with Eritrea in granting scholarships and instructors as well as other professionals, especially in the domains of agriculture and health.
