Barely 24 hours after six armed kidnappers abducted the mother of the Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Mrs. Fidelia Chioma another three year old boy, Master Tonye George, has been kidnapped form his father's house in George Ama, Okirika Local Government Area.

The kidnappers of the toddler have made contact with the father from who they are demanding N5 million in order to release his son.

The father of the boy, Mr. Daniel George, said he has no money to pay anybody. He has therefore pleaded with the kidnappers to release his son, saying he was poor and cannot muster that amount or any amount at all since he was poor. He is convinced that the kidnappers mistook him for another person and wondered how a poor man like him could be asked to produce the amount demanded. He however refused to disclose his source of livelihood.

Meanwhile, security men are said to be working round the clock to secure the release of Mrs. Chioma whose son, Hon Golden Chioma just came back from a trip abroad on capacity building. Sources told THISDAY that there was no cause to despair as they were on top of the situation and would soon release her unharmed.

The same source however said they were not aware that another toddler had been kidnapped.
