Lagos

Legal luminary and human rights activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi (SAN) who left for the United Kingdom several months ago for medical treatment has returned to Nigeria, yesterday.

The rights crusader arrived Lagos by 6.30am yesterday aboard a Virgin Atlantic Airline flight. He was received by members of his family and top members of his law chambers.

THISDAY confirmed his arrival in a brief telephone discussion with Fawehinmi himself. His arrival finally puts to rest unseemly speculations in some section of the media that he had succumbed to his ailment.

AllAfrica aggregates and indexes content from over 125 African news organizations, plus more than 200 other sources, who are responsible for their own reporting and views. Articles and commentaries that identify allAfrica.com as the publisher are produced or commissioned by AllAfrica.
