Kampala — Kobs produced an outstanding display of tactical nous to see off highly motivated Pirates 21-14 as the curtain came down on an exciting Guinness Super 8 Rugby League at Kampala Rugby Football Club (KRFC) on Saturday evening.

Before a mammoth noisy crowd, Kobs were first off the blocks courtesy of a Joel Anguyo penalty. Edmond Tumusiime broke through just before the break with the precision of a Swiss watch to touch down and Anguyo obliged with a fitting conversion soon after.

Winger Allan Musoke could not miss his chance to get on the score sheet as he raced clear to take his season tally to eight tries. The referee's halftime whistle saved Pirates from further punishment with Kobs leading 15-0.
