Nigeria: Search for the Next Ultimate Model and Nigeria's Next Top Recording Artist Begins

Lagos — Registration has begun for the Next Nigeria's Ultimate Model and Nigeria's Next Top Recording Artiste. This was disclosed by Mr Bernard Etine, President of Industry Exposure.

According to him, Industry Exposure, which is a subsidiary of Future Visions Entertainment is offering talented individuals the oportunity to starting first in Nigeria, by way of a multi-divisional competition and reality series geared towards models and artistes.

The competition is a two part series titled "Nigeria's Talent Exposure 2008", which consists of top finalists traveling to the United States to partake in an upcoming reality shows tilted "Nigeria's Ultimate Model" and "Nigeria's Next Top Recording Artiste."

Competitors will audition and the semi-finalists will then partake in a Fashion and Artist showcase in October to determine which Top Ten finalists earned the opportunity to travel to America for career development and a challenge filled competition to determine who would hold the title as 'Nigeria's Ultimate Model and 'Nigeria's Next Top Recording Artiste".

Auditioning for each contestant will be judged on the following criteria: Appearance and

personality for models while performance and personality for artist. The judges will consist of American and Nigerian judges with industry experience in each division (artist / models).

The grand finale of the event would be held in Abuja in October, as part of Nigeria's 48th independence. The finalists will partake in a runway show with the latest brands of fashion and music showcase respectively. This will be their final opportunity to show their talents.

This stage of the competition will be recorded. The goal is to have it aired live during the event. Winners will then receive all the details of when they will be leaving for America to partake in Nigeria's Ultimate Model and Nigeria's Next Top Recording Artiste.

The ten finalists in the Model category will receive training in career development, portfolio creation, hair and makeup, fashion trends, etiquette and runway training while the music artists will receive training in career development, recording creation, studio training, imaging, production and song writing.
