THE chronic conflicts at Makerere University Kampala (MUK) have drawn Prime Minister Prof. Apolo Nsibambi's concern. He has asked the education ministry to prepare a memorandum for discussion by Cabinet.

In an April 21 communique, Nsibambi said President Yoweri Museveni would chair a Cabinet meeting to resolve the concerns raised by the academic staff.

The lecturers claim that management has not paid them about sh10b as allowances for teaching private programmes run by the university.
