John Fashanu says his reality TV show 'The Football Challenge with Fash' will go on unhindered with or without the support of the NFA.

"We have gone too far to turn back and since we are affiliated to the Lagos State football Association, the show goes on," the former Wimbledon star told KickOffNigeria.com.

Fashanu was reacting to comments by the NFA Secretary General Bolaji Ojo-Oba dissociating the Glass House from Fashanu's reality talent hunt show.

"The project is already a huge success, or what will say of a show whose website has attracted over 120,000 hits, and I tell you more and more are pushing and pulling to be part of the show," Fash stated.

"I had a wonderful discussion with the NFA and if they now come out to say they are not backing my show, all good, but the show goes on.

Myself, the sponsors and all are satisfied with the progress made so far."

Asked if he had the number of those already registered to take part in the show, the former NFA board member said: "No I do not have that but I can tell you that tens of thousands have registered to be part of the event."

Forms to be part of the show were sold for N3, 000 to each participant and that was the part the NFA quarrelled with.Ojo Oba had said: We do not want people thinking that the NFA is involved in collecting money from Nigerians through this means because if anything goes awry at the end of the day, Nigerians would be mentioning the NFA."

But Fashanu argued that there had been no complaints from any quarter so far. "Nobody has complained about the money they paid to buy the form. The 'Football Challenge with Fash' has already kicked off in zones around the country.
