Angola: Media Minister Visits Kwanza Norte, Malanje Province

Angolan Social Communication minister, Manuel Rabelais, started Monday a tour of northern Kwanza Norte and Malanje provinces, to assess the state of the sector in the region.

On arrival in Kwanza Norte, the minister was welcomed in Dondo district by the deputy governor for Social Affairs, Miguel Jorge Caxino, with whom he held a courtesy briefing.

Minister Rabelais has visited the premises of the Angola Press Agency (Angop), the local broadcasting stations of the State-run Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA) and Televisão Pública de Angola (TPA).

The minister who is visiting Kwanza Norte for the second time since appointed minister, will learn about the state of the infrastructures housing the media organs in the provincial capital city, Nadalatando.

In Ndalatando too, Manuel Rabelais will meet with the workers of the ministry's local delegation and with the media professionals, before leaving for Malanje.

Manuel Rabelais first visited the province in August 2006.

Accompanying the minister are the directors general of Angop, Manuel da Conceição, RNA, Eduardo Magalhães, TPA, Fernando Cunha, and state-owned daily paper, Jornal de Angola, José Ribeiro.
