Despite Sunday's victory over Egypt's Zamalek by 2-1, Angola's Interclube were eliminated of the group stage of the African clubs champions football cup, ANGOP has learnt.

This is due to Interclube's 0-3 defeat against the Egyptians in the first leg match played in Cairo City, being now relegated to the dispute of the African Confederation Cup (CAF), also called Nelson Mandela Cup.

Interclube suffered the first goal at minute 15, with a goal scored by defender Eduardo, but soon recovered to overcome the situation.

Thus, the Angolan team gained momentum and at minute 37 scored through the striker Minguito, who at the second half scored again at minute 53 of the game.

Interclube were even close to scoring again when the Cameroonian Romy missed a penalty kick at minute 70.
