Windhoek — United Netball Club opened their assault in this season's Khomas Netball Regional Division One League campaign with a fine win over an ageing Tigers outfit at the Khomasdal Sports Complex netball courts, in Windhoek on Saturday.

The Olympians took a slender one goal lead (9-8) in the first quarter with veteran goal poacher Valery Pack and her partner Jolanda Botha taking turns to poke balls through the loop with the precision of a seasoned butcher.

United increased their tally to 19 - 15 at the end of the second quarter and stepped up a gear in the third quarter - rattling the loop on eight occasions as opposed to Tigers' seven goals (27-21), before the Olympia-based team finally ran out well deserved victors with a scoreline of 34 goals to 28.

The victory shot United to the top of the summit - courtesy of undisputed champions Black Africa's inactivity last weekend.
