Lagos — African men's 100 metres record holder, Olusoji Adetokunbo Fasuba could not replicate his record breaking feat of last year at the Doha Grand Prix, as he fell to a lowly fifth postition in this year's competition.
Fasuba had gone into Friday's race on the strenght of his feat of emerging the first African to pull off three straight conquests of the continent's sprints title at the championship in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
However, when the sclaes came out in Doha, he was found flundering in fifth position, a result which raised fresh fears about him burning out too soon before the Olympic Games in Beijing, China come August.
