Angola: Media Minister Delegation Expected in Malanje

Malanje
A Social Communication delegation headed by incumbent minister, Manuel Rabelais, is expected Monday in northern Malanje province, as part of a two days visit intended to assess the state of the sector and the media in the province.
The delegation that is on transit from northern Kwanza Norte province, comprises high ranking officials of the Social Communication Ministry, general directors and technicians of public media organs, including those of Anibal de Melo Press Centre and Journalists Training Centre (Cefojor).
Minister Rabelais's working programme for today includes a courtesy meeting with the provincial governor, Cristóvão da Cunha, visits to the premises of the Provincial Department of Social Communication and Angola Press Agency (Angop).
He will also visit the premises of the daily paper Jornal de Angola (JA), Televisão Publica de Angola (TPA), Radio Nacional de Angola (RNA) and their respective broadcasting stations.
The programme will as well involve a visit to the provincial capital city's 1º de Maio football stadium and a meeting with state and private media journalists.
On Tuesday, the programme of activities includes a trip to Kalandula district, some 85 kilometres to the north of Malanje city, to view some works in progress in the region.

In Kalandula, the official and his delegation will also visit the TPA broadcasting sub-station, inaugurated in 2007.
