And so, history repeated itself last Saturday. The elective General Assembly of the Cameroon Music Corporation turned out to be just what sceptics had predicted. A medley of chaos! Rules of the game were openly butchered, the supervisory body hushed, while some "big" musicians threw their hard-earned respect into the dustbin and embraced the role of puppets. What cacophony!
And in all this, we are told that the elections took place! And who were the candidates? Isn't it funny to know that the candidature of the one who is said to have been "voted" had been disqualified at least a day before the event? And the voters? How representative were they? What a masquerade!
What is intriguing is that some artists consider all this as normal. Anyway, one can not blame them much as it is difficult for some of them to have the cash which they miss out from their sales because of piracy. And under such circumstances, who would not accept to be blind folded if the cod used is made up of some neatly arranged bank notes! Let's be serious and spare ourselves such ridicule!
