Angola: Handball - Petro De Luanda Search for African Semifinal

The female team of Petro de Luanda play on Tuesday against Rija of Algeria, in a first round match of Group A of the second stage of African handball cups winners Cup, taking place in Mekhnes, Morocco, since May 06.

The Angolan champions are in Group A with Rija and MCA both of Algeria.

On Wednesday, the team, led by coach Vivaldo Eduardo will face MCA. This second stage qualifies the first two clubs in each group for the semi-final.

In the first phase, Petro de Luanda defeated FAP of Cameroon by 41-30; Phoenix of Gabon by 40-18; and Inter of Congo by 41-24.

This the first participation of the Angolan club in the cups winners Cup. The tournament will end on May 17.
