Angola: Luanda - Alvaro Macieira Exhibits 'Mambo Metu' Paintings

The Angolan plastic artist, Alvaro Macieira, and his German colleague Horst Poppe will display Monday evening at the Camoes Institute (Portuguese Cultural Centre), in Luanda, an exhibit entitled "Mambo Metu" Painting.

At the exposition, running until next June 30, will be showcased about 25 picture-frames that will describe different daily scenes.

Álvaro Macieira, with the collaboration of his German colleague, participated in an international exhibition of plastic arts which brought together 20 artists that work with African topics, held on 29 May-19 June in Bona, Germany.

Álvaro Macieira, was born on 13 May, 1958 in the village of Sanza-pombo, Uíge province.
